Two Tags!

Hey everyone! I was tagged by MissJammyxo and Laila to the 8 Most Worn Things Tag and the About Me Tag. I wrote the "currently" part of About Me tag last night so it's not what I really am doing now. I just uploaded some photos this morning (the lighting wasn't very good last night).  I hope you guys enjoy!

8 Most Worn Things Tag

1.Most worn lipstick/lipgloss? Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait

2.Most worn earrings? I got these babies at Kohl's. The camera does not do these justice. They're much prettier in person.

3.Most worn top?  I had this top for a couple of years and it still fits nicely. I get a lot of compliments on it. It's a very bright floral tank. 

4.Most worn nail polish? Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power

5.Most worn shoes? Jessica Simpson Lepolia Flats. They're very comfortable. I never get blisters in these.

6.Most worn hair product?  Don't have one... I switch up my hair products a lot.
7.Most worn perfume? Bath and Body Works Paris Amour. It smells so good. 

8.Most worn bag/purse? Vera Bradley Sophie in Island Blooms

Thank you Jill at Notebook from the Heart for tagging me! This personal interview is a great way to learn more about each other and get to know different bloggers. What's different about this tag is you get to choose what questions to answer! Sounds like fun, right?

My 10 Questions

1. Who/What inspired you to create this blog? I would have to say Amarixe. When I discovered her YouTube channel I found out she had a blog and checked it out. I thought it looked so nice and I wanted to start my own blog!
2. How did you come up with your blog name? It was inspired by Amarixe by combining my first and middle name but I did do it differently. 
3. What advice do you have for beginning bloggers? Blogging is a great experience and it's so fun to find other blogs and have "conversations" with other bloggers. Even though you may start out with very few followers you will definitely gain a ton in the long run if you take the time to check out other blogs and leave nice comments and become a member. Also, blog hops are a great opportunity to find blogs with similar topics as yours. It's important that your blog looks aesthetically pleasing and that you have good content-that's how others get interested in your blog. Pictures is key! It's nice to have a "contact me" but if you put an email on your blog make sure it's not your personal email because you will get spammed a lot!
4. What do you look for in a good blog? Mainly it's the content- well written posts, lots of pictures, interesting topics, and a variety of posts! Then, it's the set-up like does it look nice, is the header inviting, can I navigate the blog easily, etc.
5. What are your goals for your blog before 2013 (inspired by a brunette duet)? I am hoping to reach 100 followers and do a giveaway! I want to establish a good connection between other bloggers. I love reading other blogs! If you have a blog, leave a link below so I can check it out.
6. What is your favorite summer drink? This is a little difficult to write at least two sentencs, so I am going to lengthen this out (heh heh). Right now it's strawberry lemonade and pear lychee white tea! 
7. Most exotic fruit you've eaten? Lychees! They are small and pink with a prickly shell. The inside is white, juicy, and sweet. You can find them at asian supermarkets/food stores.
8. What is your favorite restaurant? I love Chipotle and Red Lobster! I always go back to them.
9. Number one place you want to go to: I'd love to go to Hawaii! Their beaches are so inviting!
10. What is the top makeup item on your wish list? There is a lot of makeup I'd like to try but I think the Naked palette by Urban Decay is at the top. It has all neutral eye shadows that are so beautiful and perfect for everyday wear.

This or That Tag!

I found this tag at MissJammyxo's blog and it seemed really fun! I love reading and doing tags. It's a great way to get to know more about the blogger.

MAKEUP

• Blush or bronzer? Blush.

• Lip gloss or lipstick? I actually like lip gloss. It's a simple way to make you look complete.

• Eye liner or mascara? Mascara.

• Foundation or concealer? Concealer.

• Neutral or colour eye shadow? I like neutral colors. I prefer more natural makeup.

• Pressed or loose? Pressed is easier to manage and what's the point of loose?

• Brushes or sponges? Brushes. I think sponges are not as hygienic

NAILS

• OPI or China Glaze? I'm an amateur to nail polishes so I haven't tried OPI or China Glaze. If I were to try one I would try OPI.

• Long or short? Short is more practical. If I have long nails they feel as if they're going to break.

• Acrylic or natural? Natural. I play the piano and there is no way I'd wear fake nails!

• Brights or darks? I like brights!

• Flower or no flower? I'm trying out some flower designs to see how they turn out. I really like marble nails!

BODY

• Perfume or body splash? I prefer perfume but there's some really nice smelling body splashes

• Lotion or body butter? Lotion.

• Body wash or soap? Soap.

• Lush or other bath company? Bath and Body Works, Lush is 2nd for now.

FASHION

• Jeans or sweat pants? Jeans!

• Long sleeve or short? Short.

• Dresses or skirts? I love dresses!

• Stripes or plaid? I like stripes and plaid depending on the season. I think plaid is more of a fall and winter style.

• Flip flops or sandals? Sandals.

• Scarves or hats? I don't really wear either.

• Studs or dangly earrings? Dangly! They look so much prettier!

• Necklaces or bracelets? I'm more of a necklace girl. I don't really wear anything on my arms.

• Heels or flats? Flats.

• Cowboy boots or riding boots? Riding boots.

• Jacket or hoodie? Hoodies are more comfy and casual.

• Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe? Forever 21

• Abercombie or Hollister? This has to be a trick question, I mean they have almost the same clothes. I like both!

• Saks 5th or Nordstrom? Nordstrom.

HAIR

• Curly or straight? My hair is naturally straight. I like to curl it once in awhile.

• Bun or ponytail? Ponytail is just easier.

• Bobby pins or butterfly clips? Bobby pins.

• Hair spray or gel? Spray.

• Long or short? I have medium length hair. I'm getting a haircut soon though.

• Light or dark? Dark, very very dark. 

• Side sweep bangs or full bangs? Side. Full bangs are too difficult to take care of-always have to trim them.

• Up or down? Usually down.

1.) Mood: Pretty happy and excited for spring break!
2.) Are there any spring trends you're loving this year? Any you're hating? I love the floral prints, crop tops, and lace. I like the neon colors in moderation. Too much is just blinding to my eyes!
3.) Do you like to cook? I love to cook! I'm still a beginner but I can cook simple dishes!
4.) Current nail polish: None at the moment. Letting my nails rest.
5.) What is something you are excited about at the moment? Spring break! Starts on Friday!!!!!!!!!
6.) Current outfit: Shirt and tank from Delia's (striped and I have a picture of it in my "mall haul" post) and jeans from Hollister and black Jessica Simpson flats from Lord & Taylor.
7.) Are you a heavy or light sleeper? Depending on how I feel. If I'm anxious about something, I'm on the lighter side. If I'm really tired or sick I sleep so deeply. Once a tornado siren went off and I slept through the whole thing!
8.) What size handbag do you prefer? I like small to medium sized bags. I can never find my things in a large bag.
9.) Do you like karaoke? Sure, but I usually just sing to myself, especially in the shower. :D
10.) Weekly goals: To ace a test tomorrow, start spring cleaning, and enjoy spring break starting on Friday!

Spring Things Tag!

There are lots of tags going around on YouTube so I decided to do a blog post tag. This is the Spring Things Tag and I got it from Beautybaby44 on YouTube. I saw several other YouTubers doing it and I thought it would be a lot of fun!



Spring Things Tag:

-What are some things you are looking forward to this season?

I am looking forward to all the warm weather and the flowers! I also like the fashion and hair trends this season.


-What are some nail polishes you reach for during the spring?
I love Sally Hansen's Fuchsia Power. It's a bright magenta/pink that's perfect for spring and summer! I have a blog post about it with swatches!


-What are some fashion and beauty trends you are going to rock?
I am definitely going for the floral, lace, and crop tops for fashion (I have a spring trends post). As for beauty, I'm not as on trend. I'm not really going for neon colors. I'm probably going to stay on the neutral side. 


-Favorite spring accessories
Definitely my Vera Bradley purse in Island Blooms. It adds a pop of color and floral print to my outfit!


-Favorite spring scents 
I am loving Bath and Body Work's Coconut and Lime Verbena. It smells so tropical and I get lots of compliments on it. I did get it from a friend a year ago so I don't know if they still sell it.
